Hemp requires at least 2 to 3 pre-washes before it starts to become absorbent, and it's natural absorbency will keep increasing up to the first 10 or so washes.

		This is a lovely nappy made from a layer of stay dry printed fleece showing dragonflies and flowers on one side and hemp with an additional 2 layers of bosting sewn in on the other. You can choose which side you want to have next to your baby's skin. It has no snaps or elastic so you can adjust it for a perfect fit. A wrap holds this nappy in place. 	CHINESE UNBLEACHED PREFOLDS The prefolds are made of a twill weave which is a little heavier and more absorbent and durable than gauze used in "Chinese" prefolds. The material is washed prior to weaving to minimize shrinking. The finished nappies quilt up nicely, are very soft and durable, lint free and extremely absorbent.
